Lisa Lynne, taught herself to play celtic harp and she composes much of the music she plays. Her music drifts between melodies with a celtic feel (Branwin’s Secret from album Daughters of the Celtic Moon) and atmospheric new age pieces that are simply pretty (Springs).
The backings for some of her songs sometimes swamp the harp, like on Aurora Borealis from the album Moonsongs, which is pity.
Lisa has had to work hard for the success that she has achieved. Supported herself by street performing on Venice Beach California and playing in rock bands until she discovered the celtic harp. Now she has a dozen albums to her credit and a couple of videos.
Lisa was soon playing the harp at weddings, restaurants and in storefront windows. “I played alongside many an open casket, too.” Still playing bass in a heavy metal band, Lisa would bring her harp to clubs and open a song with it. She also brought her harp to biker bars. “The bikers would congregate around my van in the alley,” she says. “They loved it. I would show them how to hold it and pluck the strings. Now that was a sight to see!”
Lisa Lynne is successful on the speaking circuit. Her inspiring presentations and workshops incorporate live harp music with her unique life experiences. This combination of enchanting stories with clear planning guidance for “living your dream,” proves to be an uplifting and highly motivational experience.
jools is a graphic designer who used to front a band on vocals and bass. All evidence of which have mercifully been obliterated or otherwise lost.
