Todays band comes courtesy of a heads up from Grant (cc365), and I found them to be a beaut. Lots of intereting sounds and textures, interesting vocals, really slick production, all in all a rather nice pice of modern pop. I can’t see this band getting any airplay in Australia but I have been wrong before.
Here is what Grant had to say…

I’m a nut for trip-hop, chill and what I like to call “Space age batchelor pad music” (A term I stole guiltlessly from french Moog manipulators, Stereolab). The shame is, beyond bands like Portishead, trip hop just doesn’t have a major market following and thus is relegated to the fringes of the hip.
I had to go and have a listen after that.
Blue Foundation started in 2000, releasing their first single on MoshiMoshi(Hot Chip, Bloc Party etc.) and their 1st, self-titled album soon after. Three of the members – British-based turntablist Tatsuki, British vocalist Scott and the Danish producer and instrumentalist Bichi – have been involved in aspects of the UK music scene over the last five years. If you were on of the eleven people in Australia who went and saw the recent Miami Vice Movie, one of their tracks featured there.
