I can remember being 20…. (seriously), I wish I sounded this good at 40. Matt Walters is 20 years of age and as you can hear from “The Moon, Stars and People” has a great voice and writes a good tune. I am astounded by the delicacy of touch on this song, I think it’s a safe bet that we will be hearing more from him.
Here is some stuff from the website…
singer/songwriter Matt Walters possesses a distinctive voice that belies his life experience. Matt’s self-financed debut album, “The Moon, Stars and People”, released this year on Shane Howard’s independent label Goanna Arts, is a unique mix of subtle folk/pop balladry and gritty street grunge.
This is just a quick one to let you know that if you are in Melbourne ,Matt is playing with Liz Stringer and Jordie Lane at the East Brunswick Club on Wednesday 20 Dec. It’s his last gig before heading overseas, so the rest of you should check out his website (or his myspace site) to see if he is gigging anywhere near you.
