Lissa Schneckenburger

Lissa Schneckenburger is a fiddler and folk singer from Maine. Her music is a mix of traditional and original. She is conservatory trained and a fine musician and singer with solo albums and several band albums to her credit.

From her website:

Lissa tours primarily with a trio consisting of Corey DiMario on double bass, and a revolving carousel of guitarists including Keith Murphy, Ted Davis, Matt Heaton, and Paddy League. For festivals and larger performances the band is sometimes augmented by Stefan Amidon on percussion, and Eric Merrill on viola. Traditional New England fiddle tunes and folk songs, with some original and contemporary music thrown in. The boys provide rock solid back up and let Lissa go to town on all her favourite fiddle tunes. A truely sparkling acoustic music creation!

Her website has a mix of samples from her recent album and from older recordings too. The Irish Girl and The River are both pieces that showcase her voice and her song writing skills. The River is a terrific tune with overtones of European folk.

Her music is around and a couple of full pieces can be found. HalaflMona is a set she wrote to play with one of the bands she appears with and a live version of Si Beag, Si Mor.

jools is a graphic designer who used to front a band on vocals and bass. All evidence of which have mercifully been obliterated or otherwise lost.
