I never heard Sandy Denny until well after I had learnt about 50 songs - I've been singing and learning traditional songs since I was 8....... of course at the age of 30, when I discovered Sandy Denny she blew my mind, and I've tried to stay clear of her songs because I think nobody could sing some things better than she could...... however some songs just need to be sung....... I recorded Banks of the Nile in 1999 and recently I've been singing Crazy Man Michael because it's a great song......
