The Children of the Drum for this is what their name means in Gaelic are a Scots drum and pipe band from Glasgow. Featuring the talents of Joe Kilna MacKenzie (Vocals, Drums, Songwriter) Jamesie Johnston (Bass Drum), Donnie MacNeil (Bagpipes, Drums, Piano, Guitar), Jacqui Holland (Drums, Vocals) and Aya Thorne (Bodhran, Percussion). I’m not certain if this is the current lineup as they underwent a lineup change not too long ago.

The mighty sound of traditional Scottish drums and highland bagpipes is really something to heard to be fully appreciated. This is not your marching band kind of pipe and drum outfit rather they produce a primal sound that harks back to an older tradition.
