PTB are an indie band, three of the members are from the western suburbs of Melbourne, working their metal magic on the live music scene (such as it is) for over 10 years.

The lead vocalist Ivan Duzel is a talented bloke not content to merely prowl the metal pathways with his band – he has a solo act that emulates many of the past masters of this genre who have taken elements of classic and folk music and twisted it to make new music.

They aren’t your average screamo band – but that’s not to say that Ivan doesn’t have a great set of lungs and vocal chords to match. These guys are pretty damned good, but Duzel’s solo stuff is more accessible for the metal challenged.

They recently tripped over to Los Angeles on a whim and managed to set up support gigs for themselves in packed clubs. Their success has inspired them to repeat the effort in Europe sometime in the near future.

jools is a graphic designer who used to front a band on vocals and bass. All evidence of which have mercifully been obliterated or otherwise lost.
