Rarely does the combination of tattoos, musician and sideshow performer come together, but it does so in the shape of “The Enigma”. He fancies himself as a bit of a renaissance man and on his website credits himself as an actor, daredevil, musician: piano, guitar, flute, singer, songwriter, composer, sword swallower, poet, author, publisher, director, producer, and the list goes on…..
Covered in tattooed jigsaw pieces and coloured blue with red highlights, he plays a guitar shaped like a jigsaw piece…what else, oh and did I mention the horns? This is performance and it is very colourful even without the visuals.
A long time ago I went to see a sideshow performer in Melbourne called, I think Jeff Crozier. He was fantastic. I’d never seen anything like it before and probably never will again. The act was so exotic and had a sense of madness and danger, probably more magic though.
The Enigma plumbs the same turf and as he obviously is a similarly demented showman, I’m sure he puts on a great show.
jools is a graphic designer who used to front a band on vocals and bass. All evidence of which have mercifully been obliterated or otherwise lost.
