The thing that stopped me was the voice and the phrasing, it sounded so much like Missy Higgins and yet it was a lot more raw and interesting. Well obviously I was wrong, Emily Teague is from Bristol in the UK ,plays guitar,sings and writes her own stuff.

The songs at the Myspace site sound really personal and rather than epic (my usual taste) they seem rather private and insular, like you are having a conversation in a snug at the local. I found myself hooked by the chorus in “Absolutely Yes”.

There a millions of people who do this but not quite as well, I wish her luck.
