The Hush Sound hale from what is called the Windy City – Chicago. They are a pop rock indie outfit consisting of Bob Morris on vocals and guitar, Chris Faller on bass and vocals, Darren Wilson on drums and vocals, and Greta Salpeter on vocals and piano.

Started by Greta and Bob for fun at the end of 2004. The songs that they wrote demanded more production than guitar and piano could provide so the band expanded to include a rthymn section of bass and drums. Their first album was released early in 2005, followed in 2006 by their album Like Vines.

They have toured quite extensively since the release of their first album, although things are a little quiet on that front right now because they have headed back to the studio for album number three.

Wine Red from Like Vines – this track also appeared on Snakes On A Plane: The Album

Sweet Tangerine from the same album is the track that I admire the most. Have a listen. It’s a flash site so make sure you have it and your patience loaded.

jools is a graphic designer who used to front a band on vocals and bass. All evidence of which have mercifully been obliterated or otherwise lost.
