Playback: mp3/flash
Download?: Yes

Today’s piece is by Alexander Blu, he is from Serbia and has been playing since childhood. During the 80′s Alexander Blu gigged with a few rock bands, performing all over the ex Yugoslavia. It was not until the 90′s that he began dealing with studio and production work professionally. Somewhere in the late 90′s he established a music studio with a friend and over the next eight years, he recorded, mixed or produced about 100 records, most of the in the pop/rock and electro genres.
“Emptiness” is full of yummy old school sounds and textures, it is well crafted without sounding fussy and it just sounds European… to my ear there is no way that you would see this as coming from America. The gliss parts add a light jazz/swing feel to it. The rest of the pieces from the album are just as good (maybe one or two exceptions). There are one or two tracks here that will be going into the MP3 player and taking up “permanent” residence.
All in all, good stuff. Well worth a listen
It should all be noted Alexander has generously put the whole MAY Album up on his site for download. Its a 63 Meg download so it might take a bit. Go on… download it… you know you want to.
thatch is fascinated by guitars, music, guitars, production, silly noises, guitars and used to be a musician. Did I mention the thing about the guitars?
