Abby Dobson was the lead singer of the acclaimed Sydney four piece band Leonardo’s Bride. After a hiatus of a few years and a couple of singles she has returned with a new album worth of songs as a solo project.

Right now she is gearing up to begin touring Victoria and Western Australia supporting Tex Perkins and guitarist James Cruickshank after just completing a coutrywide tour supporting her new album Rise Up.

This album may well herald a return to the heady ARIA winning days of Leonardo’s Bride. With vocals that range between wistful to wired. Well structured production, lush orchestration and emotional lyrics make this album special. I love the title track Rise Up from her album featuring delicate piano accompaniment, strings and guitar. they spiral about the delicate melody and raise the hairs on your arms.
