My Brightest Diamond is Shara Worden, an American singer-songwriter. Her song Something Of An End is an absolute gem. It covers a ton of ground idea wise and the production is fabulous. This has been on my MP3 player (along with a few other of her tracks) and everytime they pop up it’s just a delight.

I found her rummaging around at Last.fm a while back and was quite taken with the music she was creating. Her performance wanders between rock band and operatic diva, and the backings are just wonderfully inventive. You will find a good cross section over at her myspace site.
