Scott Andrew – More Good Days
By thatch • May 21st, 2008 • Category: Folk, Indie, Music, Rock
I was talking with a friend who was bemoaning how hard it was to find good music these days. Needless to say I didn’t believe him, I personally find it hard to believe how much good music there is, I mean it’s everywhere.
As a case in point today’s act I found mentioned in a post over at Brad Sucks. Needless to say I followed it up and here via a few weeks of travel on the ubiquotous MP3 player is Scott Andrew and his song “More Good Days“. Scott has a good selection of his material available at MySpace and his website but the guitar and vocals of “More Good Days” will just make your day (well it brightens mine).
Indie pop? Folk rock? Americana? Geez, who cares? Performing songwriter Scott Andrew charms audiences by delivering scruffy, lo-fi acoustic pop with self-effacing wit and underdog bravado. That’s really all you need to know.
Make sure you don’t miss “Gravel Road Requiem“, this one reminds me a lot of James Keelaghan… I think it’s the choice of topic as much as the execution.
This is cool, I just found a live version over at YouTube…
Listening to Scott Andrew makes me almost go and get my guitar out of it’s case… almost. I think I will leave it to him.
Highly Recommended (and thanks to Brad for the heads up).
