One EskimO

I’m in love with “Kandi” by One eskimO. What an elusive little act let me just say. What I can find out is that One eskimO is a project by Kristian Leontiou.

Now I found out about One eskimO because of the track “Hometime” which has an animated film clip directed by Matt Latchford and Lucy Sullivan which won the Public Choice Music Video at the 2008 British Animation Awards. That was a bit of a mouthful, so without further ado “Hometime” by One eskimO:

Kristian Leontiou is a Londoner who released a debut album “Some Day Soon” in 2004 and now his new band look like they may very well do much better. He is a skilled songwriter and the music with its laid back retro groove and crisp arrangements are just delightful. No plug and play here, simply elegant pop songs with joyful arrangements.

I recommend you spend a few minutes getting to know this elusive performer from whom we will no doubt hear more in months to come. Go to MySpace to hear my favourite number “Kandi“.

is a graphic designer who used to front a band on vocals and bass. All evidence of which have mercifully been obliterated or otherwise lost.
