“Said The Whale“  are another band that make me smile everytime they appear on the MP3 player. The collective brainchild of Ben Worcester and Tyler Bancroft (and recently been adding new members), the band fired up in Vancouver Canada. Yep another Canadian Indie band… you gotta love it.

So what do I like? They don’t have an attitude. The music is fun and poignant (in the right places), it’s bright and cheerful and best of all they make me smile. Even the sad songs.

“This City’s A Mess” is a great piece of indie pop, it has guitars, vocals and just the right deftness of touch in the production. Trust me, twice through this puppy and it will have you bouncing down the street like an extra in an iPod ad (you’ll be the one in full colour)
