Laura Marling – My Manic and I

Laura Marling is 18 years old and was once refused access to one of her own performances, for being underage. So she did the gig on the street.

Her song “My Manic and I” is just a gem, full of wonderful vocals, a clever but genuine arrangement tha builds, guitars and it’s just so interesting lyrically. This is one of those songs that you will find yourself going “So that’s what she meant” three weeks later. It just niggles away at the back of your brain and keeps you entertained.
