Graham Dunne

Graham Dunne is Niamh Parsons guitarist, so if you have had the pleasure of seeing them in concert he was the one with the big wooden thing in front of him.
Seriously though if you head over to www.myspace.com/grahamdunneclare and have a listen to “The Southwest Wind” or “Cumha an Gra”. Just beautiful playing. The tone and the precision blow me away and for all the there is still personality and passion in abundance. I am truly in awe of his phrasing.

But it’s as Niamh’s accompanist that Graham absolutely shines. He never gets in the way of the vocals, he allows so much space for the story that the song is telling to unfold. As I said, I am truly in awe of his phrasing. If he is ever giving a master class in Melbourne I will be in the front row.

To illustrate the point, head to www.myspace.com/niamhparsonsofficial and click on “Crazy Man Michael”. I have had this song on the MP3 player since Niamh pointed it out in a comment back in February this year. It’s a drop dead gorgeous version of one of my faves from my childhood. Don’t miss it.

So the short version. A brilliant guitarist and Highly Recommended
