Red Season

Heard these guys recently on Channel 31 – at least the singer and guitarist did a couple of live acoustic tracks. Lead vocalist Andy Rosier has a mighty pop voice which tends to gets swamped amid the band’s jangly guitars and drums.
Red Season is a Melbourne outfit as previously stated Andy Rosier on lead vocals, Mario Desmier on bass and vocals, Charlie Kinross on guitar and vocals and Josh Blacka on drums. They will be launching their debut EP at the Curtin Bandroom in Lygon Street Carlton on Saturday November 1st.
They are represented on MySpace by four tracks, my pick is the guitar rich and melodious track “The Way”. The track showcases a mature level of songwriting and arrangement skills that I don’t believe are matched in any of the other tracks.
Worth heading down to Lygon Street to catch this outfit – I suspect that their live work will be even better than than the recorded material.
