Today’s band is “Wild Light“, one of those wonderful indie rock outfits that America does so well.

“New Hampshire” is the song that hooked me, all guitars, drums, silly noises (I love the silly noises), chanted vocals and smart lyrics. It’s a great song, to me it has a lot of the qualities that attracted me to “Arcade Fire“, a rawer sound, less polish but the same ability to generate excitement .

Wild Light currently only have four tracks over at www.myspace.com/wildlight (its the contents of their recently released EP), what I really like is that all the tracks are different. They are due to release their first album early in 2009 and it will be interesting to see what they come up with. I am pretty sure it will be brilliant. I hope hope there are more tunes like “New Hampshire”
